Trump And The Paris Climate Change Agreement

The Paris Climate Change agreement was a "contract" signed by almost all the countries in the world, 195, including countries like Russia and North Korea. It was made aiming at reducing emissions of planet-warming greenhouse gases. It was the landmark achievement of previous president, Barack Obama (2009-2017). Not only will Earth get hotter, ocean levels will increase, more powerful storms will appear, and droughts that lead to food shortages will start appearing all over the world. This climate change issue has been a big part of Trump's campaign, mainly on his Twitter account @realDonaldTrump. He says it will ruin american jobs, and directly from his tweet earlier in the day, 6/2/17, he said: "The Paris Accord would undermine our economy, hamstring our workers, weaken our sovereignty, impose unacceptable legal risks, & put us at a permanent economic disadvantage to the other countries." He is essentially correct in a way. If we agree to decrease the amount of greenhouse gases, a lot of Americans would lose their jobs, which is the the exact opposite of Trump's motto: Make America Great Again. But it wouldn't be as severe as stated in the tweet. But if we don't stop climate change, the Earth's average temperature may raise to a level dangerous enough, and would not be possible to reverse. But again, Trump's view on this may be correct in one perspective, but wrong in the other. It is for people to decide what perspective to take in this debate.
