UK's Early Election is Getting World Attention

The UK election is surprisingly early, but the race isn't even close to done. The polls show that the incumbent prime minister, Theresa May, is just one point ahead of the Labor party leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
As voters scramble to pour over information about the two candidates, there is a great deal of uncertainty over who to elect -- not just because of political turmoil but because there have been some disturbing attacks over the last couple months, including the car on Westminster Bridge and the bomb in Manchester.
Here is a quick overview of the two leading candidates:

Theresa May: 
  • Wants a hard Brexit, so that England will have no ties with the EU
  • Has plans to cut down on immigration 
  • Tackle the social care crisis
  • Pledges to boost school funding 
  • Plans to build a stronger economy 
  • Go from triple-lock pensions to double-lock
  • Build 1.5 million extra homes
Jeremy Corbyn: 
  • Wants railroads fixed, and in better shape than before
  • Believes that to win peace in the Middle East, you have to talk peacefully with militant groups
  • Wants to establish a national education service
  • Rent controls should be re-introduced
  • Ireland should be re-united with the UK
Voters have a tough decision ahead of them. Who they vote for could change the UK's fate.

The Weird Questions, #1

Hello (not so many) readers! We will be starting a new post (which won't be like our last ones, which for some reason have been discontinued), called the weird questions. This is kind of a spin - off of what if? the book, and if you want us to answer any of your questions, post them in the comments below. Now, without further ado, question number 1 is: What would happen if there were firemen bungee jumping off of the side of a burning building? Short answer: They would all die a horrific death. Most ways you imagine this scene, the firemen are obliterated in flames, or through a collision with the ground, or simultaneously! Now this happy thought brings us to the long answer. Long Answer: Because the firemen would jump once off the side of a flaming building, and gradually swing back towards it, and would get annihilated in a burning mess.
